What is calories all about?

Miscellaneous

As some of you know, I have just hired a personal trainer to whip me back to good shape.

I guess this must be a desperate move, yet I feel its a WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT in the long run.

I have been in this yoyo cycle for quite some time, and my assurance to you is that it can be very DEMORALISING to lose some weight and pile it back in no time.

I will tell you more of my weight-losing story in the upcoming post.

Meanwhile, in this post, I will like to share with you, what burning calories is all about.

We always hear, this proposition which says, “You are what you EAT“.

How true is that?

I remember, when I am in Ho Chi Minh city, I ate lots muffins and croissant WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY.

I have no idea about calories, no idea on how much EXERCISES I need, to BURN OFF the calories that I have consumed and I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA, that I am committing the GREATEST SIN of all, in my pursuit to carve a better body for myself.

Let me enlighten you, why.

Here is a breakdown of calories for 1 muffin.

Each muffin or croissant, may be loaded up to 400 calories.

When you run 1.6km, 4 rounds in the stadium, you will only lose an average of 100 calories.

So…In order to burn the calories of 1 muffin, I NEED TO RUN 16 ROUNDS in the stadium.

That’s a feat! :)

I will encourage, all those who are in pursuit to lead a healthy lifestyle, to CLOSELY monitor what you eat.

That is the first step to healthy living! :)

    I totally agree with you.

I think the secret is to always be aware of what you’re eating and analyze your menu.

Know your limits and try to keep them.

I’ve built a calorie intake calculator to help me with that.

And so far it’s all coming up good.

I have lost about 4 kilograms and counting. 5 kg left :)

calorii >>> Eating right is equally important as exercising.

Congrats for shedding that extra weight.

You are what you eat! :)

Man I feel guilty reading this. Been piling fats lately. Need to start working out too. Must say I really miss BMT coz they really whack you into shape. I was like about 55kg after losing 10kg =D
