Motivation

This is the most sensitive question I have ever heard in my
life.

BUT how true is this statement?

Is it true that Malay people simply do not have the cut,
the acumen, the traits, the genes, the attitudes, the desire to be a successful
entrepreneur?

If you think so, I begged to differ.

Yes…Violent objection! :(

I believe other races have the
advantage because of their heritage.

1) Their long long forefathers were traders.

2)Their long long forefathers were running their own
businesses.
3) Their long long forefathers have their own shop-houses.

In the morning, the whole family were busy at work at the
basement.

Yes…The whole family is involved with the business!

Their children gets an early exposure to the business
world.

Everyday, wake up from sleep, they see their parents
running the business. It also helps that their parents indirectly inculcate good
qualities to their children.

And when they grow up with that type of supportive
surrounding, “tada”, they developed the business
acumen muchly needed as an entrepreneur.

When they see obstacles, their brain are wired up in a way
that they will see these obstacles as “unexplored opportunities”.

They see doing business as a way of life.

Whereas Malays in the older generation are so used to
working as drivers, clerks or normal employees.

In Malay, we call it “makan gaji”.

Their children sees their father working hard, sweating it
out to earn “just enough” for the family.

Not only that, when their children request for a toy or
something, the parents will retort “You think, I print money izzit?”

The children will “register” in their subconscious mind
that

“It is DIFFICULT to make money”.

They followed the route of their fathers. “Work hard, to
make more money”…

When they are introduced to a business concept, its alien.

Its jargon to them. :(

They faced difficulties…BECAUSE they have been following a
different model since young.

They know to make money, they have to “get a decent job”
and earn big bucks from there.

They have habitually inherited the mindset of their
fathers.

Some may want the easy-way-out and fall for get rich
schemes.

Some really have the persistency but keep failing.

The only way to bail out of the situation is……

…. to get a mentor.

Someone who already possess the results you want.

If they can do it, so can you. You just need to model their
strategies.

Stop modeling from the wrong people.

Wherever you are now in life, I am sure deep down in your
heart if you that big-big goal that you want to achieve.

1) Mentor

Find yourself a mentor who already achieve the goal you
desire.

2) Team

Get into a surrounding that is supportive to the
development of your goals. Get into a team.

A flock of birds can fly longer distance than a bird flying
alone.

Go for it! :)

That first statement is definitely not true.

The Malays do have what it takes to be what they aspire to be.

    Why issit based on race?

    That is definitely racist.

However,i think some ppl have that judgement because of the ways the Malays potray themselves.

I`m not saying all but some.

They seemed to have this mindset that getting involve in bussiness is very risky.
Some are afraid to take up the challenge. Maybe this is perhaps why some ppl have the mindset that they Malays dont have wat it takes.

However,i do personally think that we Malays should prove the ppl wrong.Show them what we are capable of…..

from what i see malays are quite self satisfied. they are satisfied with what they have rite now, and they are carefree and happy.

that is why they are not keen on doing stuff like what you have posted.

Up to them la, but I dont think its about race. I think if Malays really want to do it, they are able to achieve it like the rest of the races. Period.

To me its nothing abt the race, its only abt what they want and are satisfied of. Coincidentally most malays are those happy go lucky kind of people who feel perfectly fine with what they have. In short most Malays are self contented, which I think is a positive attribute.

so true. some say its our religion to be happy with what we have (bersyukur) but ironic that the Prophet Muhammad himself is in business. It goes to show that what Helmi said its true, its our society. I had a dream of opening my own electronic shop and my mom already went “dont lah loan money if cannot pay u will suffer” just because my brother just lost 10k in some lameass Swisscash thing.
